As part of the $2.3 Billion Monaco offshore extension project, Holland Aqua Sight is honored to work together with Bouygues Travaux Publics in building a maritime infrastructure as the first step of the six-hectare expansion of the city into the sea. This maritime infrastructure consists of a fill enclosed by a band of 18 trapezoid reinforced concrete caissons and will serve as base for construction of the new eco-neighbourhood in Monaco.
In one of the 56-meter-long, 50- meter-wide and 27-meter-tall cassions (a large watertight chamber, open at the bottom from which the water is kept out by air pressure and in which construction work may be carried out under water), Holland Aqua Sight is going to install 7 big acrylic underwater windows to have a perfect view on the ocean from the swimming pool. The acrylic windows are designed to withstand all types of weather conditions and seawater. The possibilities of acrylic are endless.
