The usefulness of an adjustable swimming pool floor has long been proven. Such a floor ensures greater profitability in the swimming pool because, after installation, many more possibilities suddenly become available to the operator. Let us ‘dive’ deeper in the matter and present you with some possibilities.
Adjusting the movable floor to various heights
First of all, the movable floor is of course handy because it can be adjusted to various heights. This is very useful, for example, when small children attend swimming lessons, and they still want to be able to touch the bottom with their feet when they are tired. The floor can even be adjusted to platform height. This means that the floor is in the highest position and as high as the pool edge. This has the advantage, for example, that someone can walk directly onto the floor from the platform. But we will come back to that in a moment. When the floor is in the highest position it can be very useful for example in therapy pools because the patient can then drive his or her wheelchair directly from the platform onto the floor after which the floor can be lowered. This is a minimum effort for both the patient and the therapist.
Movable floors also for events
The above will be obvious, and you can read more about these specific topics on our other websites. In this article we want to focus more on organising an event where the movable floor can be used. Because once it is in the pool, there are so many possibilities. The most obvious example is the graduation ceremony in the swimming pool. The floor is then set in the highest position and the presentation can begin. The floor then normally serves as a floor that can also be walked on. We have examples of a judo tournament being held on it. But it is also possible to run a complete fashion show on it. We are sometimes asked how much weight such a floor can hold. Let’s just say that more than fifty adults can easily stand on it. Our Variopool floor has enormous buoyancy!
Creative ideas with a movable floor
If the ground is submerged to 10 cm, for example, other fun things can be organised. Think about water football. If we set the floor at a depth of 50 cm, for example, we can do exercises with aqua bikes. Because part of the bike is in the water, the pedalling resistance is a lot higher. Good for burning extra calories. We also have examples of complete inflatable slides that are placed on the floor, fitness classes that do their exercises, Aqua Zumba where you stand halfway in the water, special games that are devised on site by the swimming pool and even complete orchestras that do their performance while the bottom is at its highest position. There is simply a lot that is possible. Our product is often ‘invisible’ on the bottom of the swimming pool, but as soon as it is set in a different position, so much more is possible. More visitors mean more profit. And more return is a happier operator. We hope we have given you a good idea of the many possibilities of a movable floor. Need more information?
